About Claire

Claire Hartley

Claire Hartley studied at Glasgow School of Art and began selling jewellery 28 years ago. She designs the jewellery in her studio, overlooking the sea on a small island off the West coast of Scotland. Her designs are influenced by the island life, living by the sea and being surrounded by nature. She gets inspiration from the hills, the flowers and the often wild weather as well as from travelling around the world.

View from the Studio

Claire designs jewellery that looks stunning when worn. "I love wearing quality jewellery that people will comment upon and so my pieces are created with that aim in mind so that the customer will love to wear the pieces and others will admire them."

She selects beautiful quality semi precious gemstones which are then carefully cut and the sterling silver is expertly crafted to make the designer jewellery. Each item is painstakingly made so that you can have an exquisite piece of handmade sterling silver semi precious stone jewellery that you will treasure.

She also designs unusual, unique One-Off pieces and Limited Edition pieces for that extra special piece.

The jewellery is hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office with Claire’s individual hallmark.
